Winters in LA mean cold mornings and nights with warm afternoons in between. Not to mention the unfortunate effects of climate change, making each season more and more unpredictable. I always wear layers that I can shed off and on, because you just never know how late that picnic will go, plus sweaters and flannels are handy to keep me warm on these chilly LA nights.Who says your cozy look can't be fashionable?
Maybe its my never ending love for Kurt Cobain that makes me so obsessed with flannels. Yes, even with the loudest looks it adds comfort to any outfit and takes looks from too much to just right <3. This flannel is possibly the best and most comfortable ever to be made.

One of my favorite things to layer is a mesh long sleeves, they look cute under everything and just add that extra edge to any outfit.

Sometimes changing your birkenstocks to a cute heeled sandal can take your cozy *stay at home* look to your flirty *maybe I’ll run into a cute boy at the grocery store* look. Just kidding! Dress cute for yourself, first and foremost!

The first time I went to Paris in 2013, I remember seeing girls at clubs with gowns and insane dresses paired with sneakers. That always stayed with me. Maybe it was Colette’s influence on the youth but it felt so progressive to me. Fast forward to my life as a stylist and I’m always wearing sneakers (specially my Nike Cortez's) with dresses, short and long. It's so interesting to me where we take our style inspiration from and how that evolves with our personal style. Layering a dress with a hoodie is so LA, that's my take on that, you're welcome :)
