This week, LCD's Guest Fashion Editor Sissy Sainte-Marie rounds up her favorites from our Spring Sale:
This week is dedicated to those whose favorite four-letter word is “sale”. (Mine is actually “free” but “sale” is a very close second). A sale is always great, but even more so in these uncertain times. Since many of us are considering how to spend wisely, avoid trends, and make smart wardrobe investments, I’ve made a round-up of items that are not only on sale but also versatile, timeless basics that are worth the investment. Since you’ll likely get more wear out of them, you can hold on to them for years to come.
You can’t have too many pretty white blouses. They go so well with trousers, cargo pants, jeans, midi skirts, & bike shorts.
You can always count on a solid one piece in a classic cut. Wear it poolside or as a tank top.
Not exactly an everyday basic, but when you gotta go to a thing that requires some snazz, you can easily reach for this metallic blouse.
I started to list all the ways you could style this cream shirtdress but I ran out of space. It is infinite.
Versatile pants in a gorgeous color for all seasons.
I recently heard the Tibi team extol the virtues of tropical wool and I’m sold. Don’t be scared. It’s lightweight and meant for summer (but can also work all year).
A perfect black turtleneck. Need I say more?
Pounce on these vegan leather shorts now and wear them with their matching top. Wear them with tall boots and a big sweater this fall.
Vintage Issey Miyake is always a safe bet. Wear it now and sell it on Depop later.
Heirloom-like quilted jacket. You’ll want to keep it forever and pass it on to future generations.
You already know what I’m about to say... "timeless classic quality basic blah blah blah” but seriously folks, a well-made wool coat - it’s a smart buy.
