Designer Spotlight: London's Premium Streetwear Brand, ARIES
by Geraldine Chung
Everything you need to know about ARIES / The Collection
Category: Streetwear, Punk, Non Gendered, Wild, Edgy
Positioned where streetwear meets high fashion, Aries takes an artisanal and non gendered approach to both design and production. Born out of an ongoing love of trash culture, outsider art and illustration evident in the brand's graphic language, each collection also reflects Creative Director Sofia Prantera’s continuing fascination with dyeing and printing techniques and a forensic approach to garment construction.
Influences from acid house raves in the 90s, 80s heavy metal and California surf culture feature across a collection punctured with print and textured fabrications.

The brand’s ongoing cultural output “Planet Aries” is realized with the release of self published books, art shows, experiences and collaborations which range from the cult and collectable to the esoteric, working with different artists and image makers and brand partners who are an integral part of the Aries world and community. The business is privately owned and based in London.
